married to Sudha Murthy.

Sudha
Murthy is an author and social
worker. They have a son Rohan and a daughter Akshata.
· He pursed his BE degree in electrical engineering from the university of Mysore. Later he completed his master's degree from IIT kanpur in 1969.

· He remained CEO of Infosys from 1981-2002. He served as the chairman of the board from the 2002-2011. He took retirement in 2011. But in 2013, he returned to Infosys as executive chairman and additional director.
· He has received many awards such as - Padma vibhushan (2008), Padma shri (2000),indo-French forum medal (2003). In 2003, he was named Asia's businessman of the year by fortune magazine.
